Bachelor’s Degree

Bachelors degree is awarded after four years of successful study.

Graduate Degree

Offered by Graduate Schools and specialized colleges in a wide range of specializations Arts, Sciences, engineering etc

Masters degree

The Master’s level programs are of two years duration.

Doctorate

One can pursue doctoral programme after completing Master’s. Normally, the duration of Doctoral level programs is between 3 and 6 years, depending on the field of research and university.

• IELTS, TOEFL scores as proof of English language skills for admission to any course.
• Graduate Record Examination (GRE) – For entry in to Graduate Programs
• Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is required for admission to MBA and other management programs.
• Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is required for admission in to bachelor level courses
• Law and Medical schools usually require different exams like LSAT and MCAT

The cost of degrees will vary from university to university. Each university has its own cost grading on degrees that they offer. An undergraduate degree can cost anything from €500 -€20,000 per year, while post-graduate degrees can cost up to €5,000 – €30,000 per year. Most universities and organizations offer scholarships to students who produce good grades in previous academic achievements.

 

COST OF LIVING

• Estimated living expenses per year – €10,000-€16,000

Most international students apply for and receive scholarships from universities and colleges. Students have to fill a separate form to apply to for scholarships as scholarship deadlines are earlier than regular decision deadlines. If you have decent high school GPAs and a good standardized score, your chances of getting a scholarship increases.

 

WORK RIGHTS & STAY BACK

• International students in Germany are allowed to work for up to 120 full days or 240 half days of the year.
• Those aiming to work longer than the 120-day limit must take specific permission for the same. The foreigner’s registration office [Ausländerbehörde] and the local employment agency [Agentur fur Arbeit] issue these permissions.
• Overseas students on a Germany student visa can work full-time in Germany during their regular university breaks

• Details of the Secondary education
• Interview – German universities can discuss your experience and application in an arranged interview
• Additional tests for admission such as the GRE or GMAT
• Results of tests in the English language like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE if you are a non-native English speaker
• Programs in German will need a test certificate for the German language as a part of your application
• Additional requirements if any prior to your application
